A little damp start at the Globe tournament but an all round good performance. Winning 1st game 2-0 against the hosts Globe. In the 2nd match against St Joseph’s getting a draw 1-1, a great come back. 3rd match against Whalley losing 2-1 but a fabulous volley in the last minute from Whalley to nick the win. This same team won the Langho tournament only a few weeks ago. Just showing how far our team has come. Last match of the group against Westgate losing 2-1. But still got through to the quarter finals against Fulledge Colts, drawing 1-1 and then losing on penalties. A great day for all our lads, many thanks to our supporters not just today but throughout the season.
Possibly the last man of the match for the season is undoubtably Barney Peacock !

Very we’ll done Greens. You have all come so far in the last year. We were never outplayed in any game today. And we were unlucky to lose on penalties. We’ll done all. And thanks to all our supporters ( and the extra ones at the penalty shoot out )

Was great to see two Langho teams the U10 Greens and U13″s together as one on Saturday at the Globe tournament. I’m not sure if it’s finished yet ….. But well done to everyone for hanging around on a cool day to support all the boys. These were the final 7 v 7 games for the U10 Greens, as they step up next season for 9 v 9 football. It will be hard next season with bigger pitches, bigger goals, and more players to cope with but your efforts this weekend once again showed just how much you have grown in stature this season, and I for one am looking forward to seeing you compete again on the bigger stage next season. Well done everyone connected with the Green team!
